About the Team
Catholic University Men’s Rugby has established itself as a premier Division 3 rugby program within the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) organization. Competing in the NCR Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, the team secured conference titles in 2022, 2023, and 2024, consistently maintaining a top 5 national ranking over the past three years. As Regional Champions, their impressive track record includes consecutive appearances in the National Semifinals (2022, 2023), half a decade of "Birddog Cup" victories over rival Loyola Maryland, and undefeated regular seasons characterized by a potent offense and formidable defense.

Head Coach: John Solomon is entering his 15th year as the head coach of Catholic University's Men's Rugby team! Coach Solomon has led the team to several appearances in the NSCRO regional tournaments and recently coached in the Small College All Star game in 2022!
Assistant Coach: Tom Lyons is an alumni of Catholic University himself, and also the Head Men's Rugby coach at St. John's College Prep in Washington, D.C.
